Recently Lean In and McKinsey released their sixth

Recently Lean In and McKinsey released their sixth annual Women in the Workplace report, and it showed us in stark numbers, details about what most of us already knew: women have been hardest hit by the pandemic spanning the last 18+ months of our lives.

The survey dealt with 423 companies and over 65,000 women. Nearly HALF said they “often or almost always feel burned out,” while only around 30% of men responded similarly. And the survey also found that women in leadership roles are doing an exceptional job in supporting fellow employees, making sure they have manageable workloads and more, but that work is not being recognized because only 25% of companies even consider those metrics in reviews.

This week is Cybersecurity Awareness Week so we wanted to give you some tips to help you keep your private information safe! Our computers and smartphones are completely woven into the fabric of our daily lives, but they can make us vulnerable, and make our information easily accessible. We want you to stay safe online, so here are a few tips to #becybersmart

-Use two factor authentication whenever you can
-Do not put highly confidential information on your phone or computer
-Be password smart and do not use things like your birthday, or anything someone can easily locate about you
-Do not open strange links or download anything that looks suspicious
-Never give out personal information over the phone unless you have fully verified the source
-Be careful of phishing emails that will oftentimes try to insight a sense of urgency so you will provide sensitive information

Have you ever doubted your abilities or felt like a fraud? I have, and it's not a good feeling. It attacks your confidence and can really get inside your head. On the two occasions it happened to me, it was when I was starting something new. The first time, I had completely switched careers. I had never experienced the feeling before and did not know what it was.

The second time, it was no less debilitating however on the positive side, I knew what it was. The most important thing to remember if this ever happens to you, when you suddenly feel like an imposter, imposter syndrome is about a feeling, not about facts. What have I learned are the quickest ways to overcome this feeling if it ever happens to you?

* Talk about it with people whom you trust as quickly as you can
* Separate feelings from facts
* Accentuate the positive
* Since it's more common in over-achievers, develop a healthy response to mistake making and failure
* Own your strengths and accomplishments! In fact, make a list and review it when you feel like a fraud or that you aren't qualified
* Decide to be confident
